Last Friday lunchtime I walked around my garden\u201a to my utter astonishment realised that my six seater glass patio and chairs had been stolen. The table was huge and had to have been disembled with a screw driver and then all of the parts were lifted over a 6 foot plus wall and gate\u201a and presumabley into a waiting van. We had been visited 2 weeks before where other items were stolen so they had clocked it then. Here comes the sting. Whilst driving from the bank I saw walking our local PCS lady. I pulled over\u201a told her what had happened. She said I will need to take some details\u201a no problem here we go. The usual\u201a name\u201a address and then finally ARE YOU A WHITE BRITISH MALE. Now I ask you what on earth has this to do with the price of fish. My bloody patio set has been nicked not my nationallity. After this question routine it was immediately reported through by radio and a crime reference number was allocated\u201a to be given later to us that evening. The PCS visited un-announced in the afternoon to ask neigbours if they had seen or heard anything\u201a excellent service. BUT WHY THE ETHNIC QUESTION. We use to have a straight forward going on in this country\u201a not any more. The PCS was embarrassed to ask the question\u201a so why is it there?
