I have to comment that I am quite delighted that Tescos are closing over 40 stores. Can you believe in Andover Kent there are 13 Tesco stores. I have been advocating for some time that we have to move away from this soulless type of shopping. You are grumpy before you go‚ grumpy whilst in them‚ and really grumpy having parted with a shed load of cash on exit. Is it any wonder‚ we are as a nation‚ lacking in social skills whilst shopping. With the demise of the high street experience‚ in not being able to find a baker‚ greengrocer‚ butcher and wet fish shop. The frequent shop in the community‚ gave a feeling of belonging. As with the detached house cult‚ we have created a generation of soulless thumb pressing androids‚ with their bloody mobiles and no shops to integrate in to. Bring on more closures and the opening of smaller stores.
