Yes we are lovers of Strictly Come Dancing and always have been‚ see previous blogs. It is of no surprise that it is now over 2 million ahead of it rival the X factor karoke singing contest. You may ask why? My gut feeling is on two accounts. Since the Olympics we may just be seeing a shift away from the hopeless Z list celebrity culture‚ and a bit of intelligence from the UK public‚ acknowledging hard work and talent from people who could not dance before‚ who graft and are rewarded with success and pleasure. Yes young people out there‚ you reep what you sow. In other words hard work and grafting rewards you finally. Point two is‚ we have all seen through the hype and the shallow judges and performances staged for entertainment to make the X factor appear genuine. Forget it‚ it is just a vehicle for SC to make money out of these winning acts. We may just be entering a new era of our young people realising you have to work to get where you want to be.
