So there you have it 75% of teenagers can’t boil an egg. Two reasons‚ disfunctional or can’t be bothered parents‚ secondly‚ the schools not applying basics. As I have stated here before we have to get back to the basics in school. Domestic science‚ woodwork & metal work along with building & plumbing skills‚ all of which should be tought. We cannot keep pretending that everyone is an acedemic‚ society doesn’t work like that. If we carry on like this all the kids in the next 25 years will be even fatter living off more take aways. I would advocate strongly that we look at reverting back to the 50’s style of cooking starting within the home and schools. But make it fun‚ kids learn better when they enjoy things and understand it.
