Today is the start of the Premiership‚ God what abore. Overpaid average footballers mixing it with Jonny Foreigner diving and falling about as if they have been shot. MAN UTD‚ CHELSEA‚ MAN CITY‚ ARSENAL‚ LIVERPOOL‚. Take your pick out of that lot because they are going to be the champions. I use to like football‚ I use to play at a good level myself when I was younger. However‚ it is not reality. We have a useless national team‚ that is short of strikers‚ well guess why‚ because the Premiership buys in foreign players and fills the strike force of the team with them. Hence we have no home grown talent. I know lots of good lads who now do other things and have new interests to move away from soccer‚ because of the money in the game and the drop in the moral standards set by these so called icons to the younger ones. Without SKY and Murdochs money football would be dead. It is only a matter of time if sentiment changes to soccer and something bigger comes along‚ where will the backing go then?
